Target Population

LATN is aimed principally at Christian leaders in Latin America who have significant influence beyond the local church level and who aspire to prepare other leaders.

Leaders of Pastors

Exercises supervision or influence in the pastoral ministries of othersbeyond the local church in which the candidate works. Aspires to be a multiplier of pastoral leaders and an agent of significant change in the way churches are led and ministry is carried out.

 

For example:

  • President or officer of a denomination
  • Supervisor of pastors
  • Pastor of a large church considered a model that others want to follow

Theological Navigators

Sets the theological direction for a church or organization, or educates those who do so. Aspires to develop sound, biblical theology that addresses the reality of Latin America in the 21st Century and to multiply Christian leaders capable of doing so.

For example:

  • Professor in a seminary or Bible institute 
  • President of a denomination
  • Supervisor of pastors
  • Pastor of a large church considered a model that others want to follow

Leaders in Theological Education

 Exercises supervision or influence over the work of theological educators, or is an educator of educators. Aspires to be a multiplier of Christian leaders and an agent of significant change in the way leaders are educated or developed.

 

For Example:

  • Director, dean, board member or department head in a seminary or Bible institute.
  • Director of education or training for a denomination or Christian organization.
  • Professor of education in a Christian institution.

Mission Strategists

Has a ministry aimed at non-Christians or prepares others to do so. Aspires to be an effective analyst of the cultural and social context in which the Church lives, who then creates biblical messages and strategies to effectively address that context. Also aspires to be a multiplier of those capable of doing so.

For example:

  • Missionaries 
  • Evangelists
  • Church planters
  • Leaders of mission agencies
