Biography
I was born in 1964 to a humble, traditional Roman Catholic home. My father, a driver for a government official, and my mother, a seamstress, raised 5 children of which I was third. I was a normal boy with many friends, and although we lived in a neighborhood where drugs were sold and bought, the Lord protected us from that. When I was 16 years old, my cousin invited me to his church to see a film about the life of Christ. I didn't understand anything that I saw. After I attended the church youth group several times, I accepted Christ into my heart when I realized his great love and mercy toward me. A few months after my conversion, I discovered an Evangelical Free church near my home and it was there that I began my service for the Lord. The pastor of the church had a great influence in my life and was an instrument God used to call me into Christian ministry, where I have remained to this day. Since 2001, I have been serving the Lord in the Presbyterian Church
The primary ministry to which the Lord has called me is as pastor-teacher. Since 1990, I have worked in various places in my country. The last assignment was as a chaplain in a Christian school in the Peruvian jungle, where I served until the end of 2008. There, I gave Christian counseling to the teachers, brief daily Bible studies for the staff, student counseling, visiting students' families, and taught a religion course at the secondary level. I also was involved in the local church, preaching once a month and teaching basic Bible truths every week. In addition, I visited different other churches, preaching the Word when the pastor was not there. As a pastoral leader, I have been teaching Bible literature (Bible languages) at my denomination's seminary. I am now attending one of our congregations and waiting for the Lord to direct me to a new ministry.
