I was born in the north-central part of Venezuela in Maracay, capital city of the state of Aragua.  I grew up in a Catholic home, but with good moral formation and solid principles that have helped me in life.  Nevertheless, one day I understood that I needed to know Christ and have a more intimate relationship with God.  That is why I made a decision for Christ in 1973.  From that moment, I felt a desire to be involved in the church.  This desire to serve became a vocational calling, and so I enrolled in Evangelical Association Seminary, in 1978, graduating in 1981.  That year, I went to the Amazon state to pastor a church until 1987, when I returned to the city of my birth to serve in various pastoral, educational, and radio ministries.  God has permitted me to serve as a professor at a number of theological institutions; as a promoter of the Ibero-American Bible Society's Textual Bible project; and for the ministry of Radio Trans Mundial (Trans-World Radio) of Venezuela.  I host a weekly hour-long radio program, and I have served as a conference speaker on various occasions.  I have also written a number of materials on Christian teaching and evangelism, articles for newspapers, and several books.

I've been married since 1989, to Enelin Navas.  We have four children:  Jasiel Eduardo, Andrea Enelin, Eduardo Enrique and Raquel Noemi.

Ministry

I thank the Lord that I've had the opportunity to participate in various ministries that have contributed to my spiritual formation.  My primary ministry at present is serving as a pastor of the Gilgal Evangelical Free Church of Maracay.  I am one of five pastors in this church, and my specific role is as the head of Christian Education and as Coordinator of work for the Zone and of Small Groups.  I also attend to the typical pastoral functions of the ministry.
