I was born on May 7, 1971 in San José, Costa Rica, the oldest of three brothers.  I grew up in a traditional religious home and at 16 years of age God brought me to the US so I would hear the gospel.  I received Christ and was baptized in water one month later and in the Holy Spirit one year later.  I then began my studies in the area of medicine at the University of Costa Rica and finished in 1994, the same year in which I became involved in the Oasis of Hope Church.  There I began to serve with the youth and in Sunday School.  In 1995 I was called to become the youth pastor, a role that I held until 2004.  It is worth noting that in 1997 the Lord called me to full time ministry.  In 2004 I decided to step out in faith as an evangelist under the guidance of my church and traveled until 2007 working in crusades, youth congresses and leadership training.  In 2005, I met my wife, Belkys, and settled in Miami after our wedding in 2007.  The pastor there, who by divine chance I met in 2002, called me to work at his side in one of the ministries of the Church of King Jesus, the position I hold today.

Ministry

In the first approximately ten years of ministry since 1994, I worked as a youth pastor.  From 2004 until 2008, I was an itinerant evangelist.  Today I am working again as a pastor in the church.  My work, along with my wife, is to minister to one of the networks of the church, that is, we are responsible for a group of about 400 people.  Within the group, we provide counseling, liberation, pastoral care, and leadership formation.  Moreover, as ministers in the church, we help out with other occasional demands, such as congresses.  I also have the position of Director of Distance Education of the Institute of Leadership of the King Jesus.  We have over 2500 students, 2000 on campus and 500 in satellite institutes around Florida and abroad.  The growth we are experiencing requires me to develop an online learning system.  Actually, we are working with Oral Roberts University on an accord which would provide recognition of our diplomas through this university.
