The Latin America Training Network is an educational ministry sponsored by ReachGlobal, the international mission of the Evangelical Free Church of America. LATN has adopted the doctrinal statement of the EFCA, and has the majority of its staff from the EFCA.

In October 1998, the EFCA ReachGlobal Board approved LATN as a regional educational ministry of the Evangelical Free Church. Although the board gave priority to training leaders within Evangelical Free Church movements, LATN's program was made available to all qualified individuals, institutions, and denominations throughout the Spanish speaking world. God has called ReachGlobal to develop, empower, and release healthy leaders. LATN is a strategic tool for accomplishing this.

On August 13, 2007, LATN became a non-profit association in Costa Rica called Asociación Educativa ProMETA Latinoamericana. ProMETA is the Spanish acronym for "Accessible Master's Programs in Theological Studies."  The first board of directors had members from ReachGlobal, the Southern Baptist denomination, Christian Missionary Alliance, MAF-Learning Technologies, and the Latin American Mission. The majority of the members are Latin American.  The association will continue to function interdenominationally.
